The way humans view non-human animals is perplexing to me. A dog is a wo/man's best friend, yet a pig ends up on the dinner table. They're different species, sure, but why do we discriminate against them? What makes a puppy have more rights than a pig? Fate of Puppy depicts Kirfy, my 14-year-old Welsch Corgi, whereas Fate of Piggy represents a generic, generalized pig.
