I had a lot of fun with this project.
Sometimes, in the pursuit of a yummy breakfast, we end up forgetting about the actual food and industries we're supporting.
It’s evident where bacon comes from, but eggs and dairy often have cruel side effects as well.
With efficiency comes cruelty in our food industry: to remove unproductive units, the egg industry grinds up baby male chicks when they’re born, and the dairy industry slaughters calves for veal.
I wanted to create an experience where people can visually recognize the food they're eating — and at the same time, also be reminded of where their food comes from.
